"Love fest" wedding

These cakes were made for some friends who had a totally untraditional wedding!!! The wedding was in Oklahoma and the bride and groom each wore Indian or Pakistan wedding attire, wore orchid lei's and wrote their own prayer that consisted of respecting the wind, air, and nature. Then after the ceremony, the rode up in a hot air balloon (which we all got to do until the ceremony started!) and then dropped rose petals down on all of us!! It was a truly unique wedding and one that we were happy to be a part of!! Both cakes were white almond sour cream but one was lemon filled and the other was rasberry filled.

Caramel apples

These are a couple of the caramel apples I have been making. Have had several orders for them...homemade caramel dipped in a good quality chocolate and rolled in anything you want!!!

Baby blue baby shower

This was for a baby shower of a friend of mine. White almond sour cream cake with buttercream filling and fondant.

Cupcake bouquet

Made this for a friend of mine's Mom. Coconut cupcakes with coconut frosting!!

cakes for dessert auction

We have a family in town that the mother is battling lung cancer. She has 3 kids and is having a hard time making it. Some of us organized a dinner and dessert auction. I made 3 cakes.... a chocolate cake torted with a caramel filling and iced with a chocolate hazlenut buttercream. Dipped strawberries topped it off!!! The picture is terrible but I was thrilled with how it turned out! Then made a butter rum bundt cake with some more dipped strawberries in the middle. The last dessert were my homemade hostess cupcakes. The dinner and auction were a success for the family!!!

cupcakes for Luau

Made 75 cupcakes for Skydive Dallas... luau theme. So I made coconut cupcakes w/pineapple filling, macadamia nut with buttercream, and chocolate with coconut cream filling and dreamsicle with whipped frosting.

Diaper cake I made for a dear friend of mine. This one was fun!! No icing to smooth here!!

Popcorn cupcakes made for my daughter's basketball team at the end of the year.

small cookie bouquets I made for someone to give to realtors.

Christmas cake for teachers at school.

This was done for a wedding shower. Chocolate cake with kahlua fudge filling. OMG!!! It was soooo rich!!!
Should have used a solid ribbon so the cake wouldn't show through... oh well....

Siser in law turned 30 and couldn't let that pass!!!

Wedding cake for a couple out at SkyDive Dallas. They were getting married while jumping out of the plane. Wanted a simple sheet cake. Not my best but it was last minute.... Looks lopsided but it was how I took my picture. Need to really improve on that!!

First carved cake. Nothing spectacular but still a challenge!! It was fun. Made for a baby shower with a Noah's arc theme.

Wedding cake made for a friend of my son's. This was made the same weekend of graduation. Had this cake and two graduations cakes due at the same time. Whew... that week end was rough!!

Cake made for Sky Dive Dallas. They have an annual event called "just for us boggie" and I make their cakes every year!! Always a lot of fun... This one was Chocolate Kahlua with buttercream.

people didn't know what to think about this cake!!! Didn't know if they should eat it for dessert or for the main meal!!!

and again!!! Can you tell this is a popular cake!!

Same baby shower cake ... different customer. This cake was white almond sour cream cake with rasberry filling. Oh so good!!!

A baby shower cake I made for one of my son's friends who was having a baby.

Well, a little about me. I am a wife of 24 years, a mother of 2 (19 and 11) , a sister to 4 other siblings and a friend to many (I hope). I enjoy helping others, crafting, baking, doing anything I can to avoid sitting still! I love to be going. I am about to open a small shop in the town that I live in and I am hoping it does well. (guess that's stupid comment, huh) I love to bake and have people enjoy whatever it is I have prepared. There is no greater reward to baking than when someone compliments how good it was, or comes back for 2nds! My husband has been very supportive of me and I appreciate him more than he knows. Even though he hasn't felt well, he continues to help me with whatever I need! Guess I did something right in life, huh! Couldn't have found anyone better!
